PAMA: Connections Art + Book club
Literature and visual arts connect in this unique, virtual book club.
Join our librarian for a book club discussion 3 times a year. The discussion will be paired with a virtual tour of a Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archive exhibit.
Discover the exhibition Power Play: Hockey in Contemporary Art, which invites a timely conversation about the histories and politics of inclusivity and exclusivity within hockey. After the exhibition discussion, join in on a conversation about this month’s book choice, One Game at a Time: My Journey from Small-Town Alberta to Hockey’s Biggest Stage by Harnarayan Singh. This book tells the incredible story of Singh's life and struggles to break through social and cultural barriers to find a place in the sport he loves.
Off the shelf book club sets
Off the shelf book sets (OTS) can be borrowed from Brampton Library for your own book club use. There are twelve (12) sets included in the OTS collection for you to choose from and each set contains up to ten (10) copies of one title in a library tote bag.
Search for "Off the shelf" from Brampton Library's online catalogue and retrieve a list of 12 OTS titles to choose from. Place the book club set on hold and pick it up at your desired branch for up to 6 weeks.
