Children's Programs

   Read and Play
When: October-23-17 - 10:00 AM - 11:00 AMWhere: Four Corners Branch at Children's AreaA morning of creative play and storytelling especially for little ones. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program. This program is offered in partnership with the BridgeWay Family Centre.



   Read and Play
When: October-23-17 - 10:30 AM - 12:00 PMWhere: Chinguacousy Branch (except program room) at Children's AreaA morning of creative play and storytelling especially for the little ones. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program. This program is held in cooperation with Malton Neighbourhood Services.



   Movers and Shakers
When: October-23-17 - 1:30 PM - 2:00 PMWhere: Gore Meadows Branch at Gore Meadows Children's Area18 months - 3 years. Let's get moving! Toddlers and their grownups are invited to join us for our special Toddler Time. We'll read, sing, and play while we learn. Children ages 18 months-3 years accompanied by an adult are welcome. Please register at the Library. Each time you attend Movers and Shakers, you'll earn a stamp towards a FREE book to take home!



   Homework Club
When: October-23-17 - 4:30 PM - 6:00 PMWhere: Chinguacousy Branch - Program Room only at Program RoomGrades 4-7. Do you need a little help with your homework? Join our Homework Club. You'll work with volunteers who can help you to solve your toughest take-home questions. Registration is required.



   Social Skills: Junior
When: October-23-17 - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PMWhere: Mount Pleasant Village Branch at Program RoomGrades 1-4. We will focus on building self esteem and developing positive communication skills and appropriate social behaviour through the use of role-modelling, positive feedback and self-awareness activities. While designed to support students who are struggling with a learning disability and/or ADD/ADHD, all students including those who may struggle with acade4mics, social skills and self-esteem are welcome.
